For Amgen, we conducted a management development needs assessment to provide strategic guidance and direction for management training programs planned for the next three years. On another project, we designed and developed online simulation training on a new computer database using Captivate, designed and developed job aids and reference materials and captured job task information in Word and Excel. We also redesigned a professional course on working cross-functionally at Amgen, including replacing content with updated material and redoing the participant and facilitator guides. Dr. Ford’s work on the latter two projects won the praise of Amgen’s project manager, who declared it one of the best needs assessment reports she had ever seen.
