    For American Society for Training and Development, we delivered the Human Performance Improvement, Designing Learning, Creating Leadership Development, Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) Overview and Measuring and Evaluating certificate programs to training professionals in public and corporate workshops, including Lockheed Martin, Denver, CO, Marine Corps Community Services, Okinawa, Japan, USAA, San Antonio, TX, Instituto Costarricensa de Electricidad, Costa Rica, Institute of Training and Development, Malaysia, Saudi Aramco and Saudi Electric Company, Saudi Arabia, Egyptian Banking Institute, Cairo, Egypt, Japan Human Resources Development Association, Yokohama, Japan and Singapore Management Institute, Singapore.

    We also redesigned the Evaluating Performance Improvement Solutions course and contributed to revisions to the Designing Learning, Human Performance in the Workplace and Certified Professional in Learning and Performance Overview programs, including development of learner materials, activities, exercises, slides and facilitator guides. Commenting on his work, an ASTD Education Manager said, “Dr. Ford has performed outstanding work. He is truly a great asset to our profession.”

  2. Egyptian Banking Institute

    For Egyptian Banking Institute, the training division of the Egyptian Central Bank, we consulted on IACET accreditation process, designed and taught train the trainer programs, wrote training policies manual and helped win the first such accreditation in Egypt. Dr. Ford taught institute staff how to design and develop learning materials and coached instructors and managers to develop world-class training programs. Dr. Ford’s work was highly praised. Noted one project manager, “Dr. Ford is an outstanding consultant, always giving 110 percent.”

  3. Institute of Training and Development Malaysia

    For Institute of Training and Development Malaysia, Dr. Ford delivered ASTD Human Performance Improvement and Designing Learning Certificate Programs from 2004-2006. Dr. Ford’s book, Bottom-Line Training: Performance-based Results, has also been adopted as the official textbook for ITD’s Certified Training Professional (CTP) program. He also designed a certification program in Human Resource Management for ITD called Certified Human Resource Professional. Dr. Ford was also the keynote speaker at ARTDO’s 2010 International Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, sponsored in part by ITD.

  4. Amgen

    For Amgen, we conducted a management development needs assessment to provide strategic guidance and direction for management training programs planned for the next three years. On another project, we designed and developed online simulation training on a new computer database using Captivate, designed and developed job aids and reference materials and captured job task information in Word and Excel. We also redesigned a professional course on working cross-functionally at Amgen, including replacing content with updated material and redoing the participant and facilitator guides. Dr. Ford’s work on the latter two projects won the praise of Amgen’s project manager, who declared it one of the best needs assessment reports she had ever seen.

  5. American National Standards Institute

    For American National Standards Institute (ANSI), serve as Lead Assessor for the Certificate Accreditation Program since 2009. Dr. Ford has assessed and helped to accredit the training programs for major clients in government, hospitality, fitness and retail industries. This includes conducting desk and onsite audits of their training certificate programs to ensure they meet rigorous quality standards and producing detailed reports of his findings. Dr. Ford has also served as a trainer for new assessors and has reported the results of ANSI’s CAP program to professional trainers and educators at the ASTD International Conference. Of his work with ANSI, Dr. Ford has been praised for being “professional, dedicated and a thought leader.”

  6. Emmanuel Andrews

    For Emmanuel Andrews, South Africa, Dr. Ford designed and delivered TEM’s Strategic Human Resource Management Certificate Program to HR professionals in Zimbabwe. The 10 day program provides a comprehensive overview of the strategic management of human resources, including courses on Employment and Staffing, Performance Management, Training and Development and Strategic HR Management. Through their strategic partnership, Emmanual Andrews and Training Education Management are introducing world-class HR strategies to southern Africa.

    Dr. Ford serves as a Counselor for SCORE, Service Corps of Retired Executives, a non-profit associated with the U.S. Small Business Administration.  He provides pro bono consulting through the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce to anyone who would like to start a new business.

    Dr. Ford provides expert assessment advice and third party accreditation of certification and certificate programs through his work with American National Standards Institute’s Certificate Accreditation Program. Dr. Ford serves as Lead Assessor for ANSI CAP and has conducted over a dozen successful accreditations of certficate programs for clients in government, food safety, fitness and other industries.

    Dr. Ford also consults with numerous organizations on issues of evaluation, including workplace testing, instrument validation, ROI, performance metrics and balanced scorecard. Dr. Ford has presented his own Training Evaluation workshop and also presents the ROI Institute’s Measuring and Evaluating Learning certificate program.
